Looking for descendents of Ignatius Norris son of John Norris, b. 1795 MD. John married twice - first to Sarah Chapman, then to Mary.
Ignatius was the only child of Sarah Chapman and John Norris, b. between 1808 and 1810. He married Ann Hurst in 1832 in Fleming county, KY, moved abt 1847 to Buchanan County, MO where he was enumerated in the 1850 census. By 1860 he was in Atchinson County, KS. Around 1890 some members of the family moved to OK. Ignatius to Woodward County, along the North Canadian River son Allen to Guthrie in Logan County, OK.

Children of Ignatius and Ann (Hurst) Norris are Orlander, Armistead, Allen, Margaret, Francis Marion, John and Thomas. Any help in locating children appreciated.

Hi. My ggrandfather William Henry Norris (b. 1854) a farmer and landowner, and his family moved to Kansas from Illinois about 1880, then to Oklahoma about 1890. I don't have much info. on Wm. Henry's parents, just first names and that they married in Illinois in 1852. It's possible they lived in Ky. a while. If this may be a lead for you, e-mail me. Kendra
