I am a direct descendant of Ralph Barrett born in England in 1630. His son, Arthur, and wife Lydia, came to Pennsylvania with William Penn. Would like to contact any possible relatives. I currently live in Grandview, Missouri.

I have located two different names for the
father of Arthur Barrett w: Lydia Chambers.

-Ralph Barrett b: 1650 In England
-Thomas Cook Barrett b: abt 1665 In England

Either Ralph or Thomas is the GGGGGG Grandfather of my husband.

Sounds like we are at the same place in our
search. I would be happy to share what I have....Good Luck....

I have Lydia Barrett marrying Thomas Willoughby Waters in
c.1760. Is this Lydia in your line?
Thanks, Randy (evirde26@sbcglobal.net)

My Barrett Ancestors were from the Harrisburg, Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania. My gggandfather, on his death certificate listed that he had been born in Harrisburg. His name was James A. Barrett. His father was John W. They moved into Beaver County, PA and then into Columbiana County, OH. John W. was born in the early 1700's. Could there maybe be a relationship??

My records show a John Barrett born Oct. 23, 1707 in E. Nottingham Twp., Chester Co., PA. Son of Arthur Barrett b. 1680 in Gloucester, Eng.

John had a brother, James, b. Jan. 10, 1720/21 in the same town and county.

John died in April 1839. James in 1732.

Hard to say if there is a relationship, or not. The same names appear many times so it gets confusing.

I am curious as to what proof there is that Ralph was Arthur's father and not Thomas or vice versa.
