My great-great-grandfather was Johannes Wust (born 6 January 1806 in Billigheim, Germany. He was the son of Michael Wust (born 15 Aug 1779 in Ingenheim, Germany) and Elizabeth Maria Donawerth (born 12 November 1774 in Ingenheim).

Johannes married Anna Maria Bolz on 29 September 1830 in Billigheim. He immigrated with his children to the USA on 19 January 1854 through the port of New Orleans.

His children include: Gabriel (born 1 July 1831); Margaretha (b 27 June 1834); Johann Adam (b 24 April 1837); Johannes (b 1 May 1840); Jacob (b 29 June 1842); and Michael (b 16 Jan 1847). His wife, Anna died sometime between 1847 and 1854, as she did not come with the family.

I do not know anything about where the boys settled. I know that Johannes lived with his daughter, Margaretha and her husband, Jacob Bourquin in Harrison Township, Dearborn County, Indiana. I would be interested in making contact with descendants of the boys.

Johannes died 16 April 1875 and is buried in Harrison Hill Cemetery in Harrison Township, Dearborn County, Indiana.

They had a daughter Catherine Bourquein, b. 15 Feb 1872 in Dearborn Co, Ind., d. 10 Feb 1939 in Harrison Twp, Hamilton Co, Ohio, buried Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison Twp, Hamilton Co, Ohio. Catherine married Barney Smith (1867-1951, s/o Daniel Wilkins Smith & Elizabeth Simonson). Catherine & Barney had two children: Margaret Smith, b. Oct 1898, and Edward Smith, b. 8 Dec 1899, d. 16 Nov 1975 in Hamilton Co, Ohio, buried Glen Haven.

I'd like to find out whether Catherine Bourquein had a sister Mary (Anna), b. Aug 1874 in Indiana, d. 23 Feb 1934 in Hamilton Co, Ohio, buried Glen Haven, who married Barney's brother David D. Smith (1869-1934).
