In 1700 there last name was Allmoney. Any Almany,Almony, & Allmoney in TN. Are all from the same Family. I was told that during the Civil War they did not know how to spell Allmoney or They got tired of being kidded about thier name. So some changed it to Almany and some to Almony.
Some of my line is as follows. Maybe it will help.
Nathan Almany b. 1822 in TN. d. TN. married Sarah Perry 2/10 in Ct. Co., East TN.

Frank Almany b.1845 m. Elizabeth ?
Martha Almany b. 1846
Ruth Ann Almany b. 1848 m. Thomas J. Glover June 24, 1866 Sullivan Co., Tn
James Paul Almany b. 1849 m.Savina Ellenburgh 1/23/1882 Greene Co., Tn
I have a good bit on the family of Francis Marion Almany he m. Mary Catherine Myers September 28, 1873 in Sullivan Co., TN. They moved to Grundy Co., Tn. and had 9 Childern I have all of there names and know who most married and some of there Familys info.
