Lemuel Wyatt was b Apr 6,1828, Washington Co.,In,m Elizabeth McGinnis Dec.5,1847,Owen Co.,In.,served in CivilWar from Ill., d.Apr 11,1922 Joplin, Jasper Co, Mo. is buried in McDonald Co. Mo. Springhill Cemetery. Need help on parents, bros.and sisters.

I am seeking parents of James Madison Wyatt.
Born in Madison County Kentucky around 1820.
Bound out as a child? Were parents dead?
Married Susannah Redenbaugh, from Indiana,
in Greene County Missouri in 1845. Moved to
Mercer County Missouri. James died in the
civil war in 1865. Brother named Frank (?).

No, You are the first responce to my query for roots to my John Wyatt I have had. Curious that yours is a Cherokee Indian and mine "could" be. Mine was married 1790 in Virginia. Looks like he stayed in Virginia. His daughter died in Indiana 1876. The Landrums didn't show up in Missouri until the next generation- my Great Grandmother was born in St. Clair, Mo 1855. Her mother was the Wyatt- daughter of John the "Indian". I can't get any further. Who is Frank to you?

Cherlyn, I got your message and no I haven't
gotten any further on my search for James
Madison Wyatt's parents. All I know is that
he was born in Madison Co., Kentucky around
1818-20. His parents died when he was young
and he was bound out to another family, I
don't no who. He later moved to Indiana and
then to Missouri. He married Susannah Reden-
baugh in Greene Co., MO. in 1845. Her family
was from Indiana. They moved back to Indiana
and then back to Missouri, settling in Mercer
Co. James joined the Union Army and died of
smallpox in 1864/5. He is buried in Arsenal
Island Cemetery in St.Louis, Missouri. I have
heard that he had a brother named Franklin
and a sister with red hair. Thanks, David
