My gggg-grandfather was Frederick Bourquin. He was born in 1808 in Switzerland and spoke fluent French. He settled in Philadelphia, PA., I believe her was married in New Yourk to a women named Mary. He was very active in the New Jersey Legislature and was well known for his collection of books. His profession was Lithographer, he had his own business in Philadelphia and was noted for his works with Zinc.

I am looking for others that may be linked to Frederick. Please contact me for more info. Thank You.

Hi,
I don't have Frederick Bourquin in my database, but my ancestors from Switzerland were connected to Bourquins.
One of my GOSSIN's married a GIROD. Their daughter, Mary Anne GIROD married Abraham Bourquin July 9, 1808 in Berne.

My relatives who were connected to Bourquin's arrived in PA in July 1788.

Hope this helps.
