There are quite a few Jane
Byers from the longtown area of cumberland. With dates etc i managed to narrow the search down and think I have found the one you are looking for
On the 1861 aged 25 she is a servant for a family in
Holme east waver called
Glaister. On the 1871 census she is still there aged 35. she is listed as being born in Longtown. she seems to have disappeared after that but there is a listing for a jane byers beig married in 1871 in the district of
Wigton (
Holme east waver comes under this district) but no husband name
If you let me know any descendants surnames I can try and filter some out
On the 1861 census, William
Byers is listed as age 5 as a boarder in Arthuret which is covered by the workhouse.
