While doing research at a local Family History Center I brought home several family histories that were in a discard stack. Among them was a history put together by Marilyn Heikes Martin titled HEIKES ROOTS & BRANCHES: THE HEIKES FAMILY HISTORY. I will gladly mail it to any interested party.

I am very interested in any information you have on this family. I am descended from Charles David Heikes of Kansas. I think this line goes back to York Co. PA, but need documentation to link the two. Thanks for your assistance.

Hi,

I happen to finally run accross this site. I am intrested in the possibility that you could mail me the Heikes family history.

My father and I know so little about the Heikes line. I know we came from the rhine valley. My family was concidered Pennsylvaina Dutch. From the Harrisburg area. For years I dident even know I was German I thought I was "Dutch"

Now I really don't know why as children we were not familair with our German desendants.

Anyway thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerly,
L.Rucker

Anyone out there related to a John Heiks? John's family settled in Wayne County Ohio late 1860's.

John were born in Germany and lived in Pa. Until
John moved to Wayne County with his family. There was a son John who's youngest son Raymond farmed the family's land, Raymond was my grandfather.
