I am trying to locate information on Dierk
Dierks III of Hollwege, Germany, b. 11-24-1752, d. 5-5-1798, married Wubke Kruse of
Hollwege, b.1-7-1771, d.12-24-1848. Had a
daughter, Gebke Dierks who married Eilerd D.
Eilers II. Gebke may have also married a
Renke Helmers. Some of the later Eilers were
from Aldenburg (winterstate) and came to Illinois then onto Iowa. Has anyone come across this Dierks connection? If so, please
let me know. He would have been my gggggrandfather. Also, he was Lutheran.

I have a Dierk (Dirk) Dierks in my husband's ancestors, but he goes back to 1626 in the same area of Germany as your Dierk Dierks. Most of the family had moved by the mid-1700s to Oldenburg, Schleswig-Holstein. Our line comes from 1. Dierk Dierks b 1626 m to Aleke? 2. Juergen Dierks b 1652 in Gruppenbuerhen, m 1686 to Gretje Alers d 1710 3. Gesche (Margaretha) Dierks b 1706 who married a Juergen Doelling and had a son Markus Doelling. That's where our line of Dierks ends, but perhaps your family ties into our Dierk Dierks from 1626. Let me know if you make a connection.
