Sleeps of Cornwall

Surnames: Sleep
I have a Robert Sleep from Tintagel in Cornwall who came to Australia in the mid 1850s. He bought with him a wife Maria and three children, those being Emmanual, Anna Maria and Theodore. They lived in South Australia. Robert was born in 1819 and I believe his fathers name was Samuel which was taken from Robert's marriage certificate. I would like to know for sure if this is so and if he had any brothers and sisters. Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Hi, my name is Becky Landrum. My father's name was Ben Allen Landrum and he lived most of his childhood in Cumberland, Kentucky. His father's name, I believe, was Joseph Allen Landrum. My father was a preacher for most of his life in the Baptist church. My Aunt Margaret has written of our heritage and I may have the document around somewhere. I'll look in my files and see if I have it. We've lived all over. My oldest brothers, Joseph Allen and Richard Walton, are 58 and 56 and my youngest brother, Paul Thurmond, is 46. Joe and Richard were born in Kentucky. I was born in Poplarville, Mississippi. Paul was born in Jenkins, Kentucky. Anyway, I'd love to hear from you.

Re: Surname McQuiggan

Classification: Query
Surnames: McQuiggin/McQuiggan, Hinds, Gilmore
I am researching the name McQuiggin. My Great Grandfather was John McQuiggin. He was born in 1860. On records that I have so far, it lists his place of birth as either Ireland, Isle of Man or England. I do find him in the 1891 census of Isle of Man but no place else.
He immigrated to Michigan in 1900.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Susan
