My great great grandfather was Jose de Jesus Carillo Sanchez and I believe he may have also used the Alvarez last name. But I'm not sure how that fits. He was married to Antonia Madero/a. They had many children, born in Huejuquilla el Alto, Jalisco and they later moved to Jerez, Zacatecas. My grandmother is Teresa de Jesus Sanchez, Roman by marriage. One of her brothers was a priest.
I'm looking for more information if you have any.

My maternal grandfather, Juan Carrillo, was from Jerez, escaped the Mexican Rev., in early 1900's lived in Morenci Arizona,(worked the copper mines, where my mother,Guadalupe Carrillo Miranda was born in 1914). I am beginning my Carrillo Family search. I am from the Carrillo branch that was deported/ ex-patriated(?) from the Fillmore, Ca. areaduring the anti-immigrant period of the 30's. They became one of a few of the original Ejidatarios in Valle de Maneadero/Ensenada. I have cousins still living there. A great uncle: Isidro carrillo married Angelita Miranda, (sister to my grandmother, Lorenza Miranda Vda. de Carrillo. Please, let's share info:

do you have an approximate date of birth for Juan Carrillo? Do you know any other siblings names beside Ysidro? Do you know what rancho in Jerez they lived in?

I do research for the district of Jerez and have my records posted on Rootsweb.com.

My family also left there in 1916 because of the revolution.

As far as I know, I don't have family in Arizona, but who knows. I don't know much about my great grandfather and I can't really get more information from my grandmother until she recovers from the hospital.

I will take a look at your research on rootsweb.com. Both sides of my family come from Jerez

My grandparents, Juan Carrillo & Lorenza Miranda de carrillo, lived in Calipatria,Ca.,working in the cotton fields, melon, and whatever other agricultural work they could find. Eventually they settled in Santa Paula/Fillmore area of Ventura County,Cal.. After the devastation of the Santa Paula/Fillmore Flood of 1928, close to 500 people were drowned. The family of one of my great uncles,Juan Carrillo was drowned.) They were expatriated to Baja Calif., Valle de Maneadero, where they became founding Ejidatarios, and the Thomas, Alfonso, Alejandro, & Rudy Carrillo branch ( sons of Isidro & Angelita carrillo), still reside. Some of their grown children have married and have moved to Santa Ana, Cal.. I have lost track with this generation. Beginning to establish contact.
