I'm searching for information on a SARAH LAWRENCE ?nee DURHAM, B. APPROX 1815 from East Dereham in Norfolk. I have found her in the 1881 and 1871 census as the grandmother to WILLIAM LAWRENCE B. 1847 who married ELIZABETH JANE WICKS B. 1845. WILIIAM is from London and that's where they moved back too. After that I'm stumpd so any hlep will be appreciated.

Well finally sent for William's birth cert so hopefully that will answer a few questions. With some help finally worked out some of the info you sent. It looks like William's father was George Lawrence (fingers crossed cert will prove this) then posible that Sarah remarried in 1857 to James Lawrence explaining the difference in names bewtween the 2 census.
