I am searching for the birth records, marriage info for parents and siblings and BMD's for the following:

Edward Bowles, age 21, born Oct 1848, Broome, Norfolk, England
married 1867 England
Hannah Borrett, age 18, 6 Mar 1849, born Broome, Norfolk, England

Edward and Hammah along with their 8 children emmigrated in 1887 for Toronto, Canada.

I have the above family in the 1880 Census of Lowestoft, Suffolk, England.

Edward had a brother Richard who also immigrated to Toronto, Canada.

I have their record on the Canadian Passenger Lists Vessel: Polynesian 10 Jul 1887

On both the 1881 census, and the 1871 census, the mother of Hannah is living with them, (she is Ann Barrett). On both of these census, Edward describes himself as being born in SUFFOLK. On the 1871 census, he is described as being 22 years old, whereas his wife is described as being 23 years old, so, have you got the correct dates of birth for these two? I will see if I cvan find him on an earlier census and send another message.

Are you sure that Edward had a brother called Richard. I cannot find a family on earlier census, with children of these names. Could he have been a cousin?

I think that in 1871 Richard was working at a Hotel, and is listed as a servant. He is unmarried.

This seems odd, because Richard Bowles appears to have a father called Edward, which is said to be the name of his cousin's father!

I had Edward Bowles, Sr. married to Susan (Head) on the Canadian Passenger list depart from Liverpool, England in August 1886 and arrive in Quebec City 26 Aug 1886 aboard the Vessel, Parisian.

They settled in West Toronto.

You cannot get details of the marriage unless you purchase the actual certificate. They cost £7. each.

On the 1841 census, this looks like Susan, and what appears to be her father. There are no relationships mentioned on the 1841 census. There is only the two people listed at this address. With regard to Edward, I can only find one possibility, and he was working as an agricultural labourer, for a farmer and his family. He is said to be aged 15, but this is probably incorrect, as they were instructed to round the ages down to the nearest 5 years. In other words he could have been 19 and almost 20, but could still have been put down as age 15.
