I found this same painting (copy, I presume) in England in 2003. I love it, and was wondering if anyone has a digital copy of it. I love its significance: Jesus teaching his disciples.

In 2003 i found the picture jesus among the wheatfields in germany in Toppenstedt.I know that it is a very famous picture in Germany in the traditional orthodox christianity.Yesterday i visited a friend .She had got a very bad copy of the Christ on that picture. Her was told that some kind of medium accidentally fotographed the Christ.Bullshitt,i told her, that is from a painting of Wehle. She wants to know more and then i found more people who are interested. At any rate, a very loved and meaningful picture for,i guess, whole christian Europe.for the old ones!)And certainly for me.Great Eastern, everybody!

I also own a Picture "Jesus among the wheatfields" but painted on wood an there is no date (year) beside the signature of J.R. Wehle. The only thin I can tell is, that my father owned it already in 1930 in Germany/Frankfurt.
Is this picture of any importance or does it have any value ?

Hi
The one I have is an original watercolour and was given to my grandparents when they married in 1917/1918. It too is signed by J R Wehle. I have tried many times to find out more about it and can't. There appear to be many of them all over the world - several people have said they own the original! So I'm afraid I really am no further forward. I'm beginning to wonder perhaps if he painted the picture more than once, but I really don't know.
If I do find anything out I will let you know - would you please do the same?
Thanks
Cath
