Hi I am New at researching my family tree. I am after some help with information about the above family ancestors I have them as the parents of William Woodhouse born about 1808-1809 I have his marriage and death certificate showing Lawrence as his father but no mention of Sarah as his mother and the only marriage I can find for a Lawrence Woodhouse between 1780 and 1820 to a Sarah Moscrop at Heversham (where William was born) on the 28 Jan 1798.

Hi Sharon,

You will have had 2 years further experience since your original post, and may well be further on by now.

If William was born in Heversham and you suspect his parents were married there, have you tried looking in the PRs back from 1808 to see if there are other siblings?

Another alternative would be to find Sarah's age from census or burial records and see if it ties in with any baptism record.
