I am trying to locate information on my husbands family. The last name is Mrohs. The only information I have is that his fathers parents came over to the states in the early 1900's from Germany. The first thing I am looking for is if the spelling of the last name has been changed. Hopefully this will sound familiar to someone. My husbands grandfather's name was Robert Franz Mrohs. Any help is extremely appreciated.

I also am looking for a MROHS family, but ours came from Neudeck, Germany around 1880 to Chesterton, Indiana.

I have a small amount of info on another Mrohs family if you would like to contact me at globetrotter101@juno.com

I come from Germany and my name is also Mrohs,
but it would be a very big accident if I had something to do with your family.
I just wanted to say hello!

Do you know anything about the history of the name Mrohs? Is it a common name? rare? Our family came from the Poland-German border area around 1880. Supposedly the Von Hindenburg estates. I have found almost no information, a couple dates and a place.

My family also came from Poland ( Silesia) to Germany, some relatives still live there.
And I only know, that " Mrohs" is Polish, correct:" Mroz" or " Mróz" or something like that,
the translation ist " Frost"

My Great grandfather came over from Germany in the early 19 hundreds. His name is Fredrick Mros. His family changed the name from Mrohs in Germany when they moved to Elberfeld from Scheuba Loetzen, Germany. I only just found this out. Hope it helps.
