I do not believe this John Twohig is my relative, but I have quite a bit of information on a John Twohig who was a banker, known as the Breadline Banker of St. Mary's Street in San Antonio, Texas. He married a Bessie or Bettie Calvert and his sister, Katie, kept house for him. He is considered to be a founding father of Texas. Tons of information on him in The Whitt (or Witt?) museum in San Antonio and part of his house is preserved on the grounds. If you think this might be the person you seek, let me know.

I've had this info for years...

Not sure if there is any connection.
A brother of my greatgrandfather emigrated to USA early 1800`s. My greatgrandfather`s name was Patrick Twohig as was my grandfather. I understand they origionally came from near Macroom in Co. Cork to Blackpool near the city of Cork in the 1860/1870
