Hi Janice
I'm researching Kneebone family of Eldorado and Redruth.
I've stumbling across through Anne Steednam same as your ancestor, however I'm very close to final step finding Thomas' parent James and unknown wife, that I'm unsure was Elizabeth Hosking. I've checked 1841 and 1851 census compares to what my ancestor. I cannot guarantee you that James was Simon Kneebone's brother. Thomas had 6 sisters and 3 brothers.. Elizabeth b:1823-1842, Joanna b:1826, Jane b:1827, James b:1829, William b:1832, Mary b:1833, Thomas b:1836, John b:1837-1837, Elizabeth 1842-1842, Elizabeth b:1845.

Hello Robyn,
We may not have a connection. However, I have a connection to the Kneebones from Redruth, Cornwall and Johnstown, Pa. Thomas Kneebone is my gggf, his son John Kneebone married and moved his family to Johnstown, Pa. This would have been about 1887 give or take a year or two. I know that the family was in Johnstown in 1889 (the year of the Great Johnstown Flood). John and his wife separated and he returned to England and died in 1890's. His wife remarried (name unknown). Mary Emily Kneebone one of their daughters was my grandmother. Have unable to find any info on John and remainder of the family that stayed in Johnstown, Pa. All records were lost in the flood of 1889 or the fire in 1970's. Well Robyn that's my lot. I think the Kneebones world wide are related just haven't been able to find the connections. Keep the Faith
