I'm looking for any descendants of either George Prince who married 1783 to Jane Loaden in Bruton Somerset. I think she is sister to William Loaden (Widower) who married 1781 to Jenny Amor & possibly related also to Betty Loaden who married 1761 Bruton to William Paddle/Peddle of Yeovil, Somerset. The earliest member of my PRINCE line is CHRISTOPHER b 1796 WANSTROW. This is a village between BRUTON and FROME.

Hi Jim, Thanks for the contact. I went into your Prince family tree but couldn't see George & Jane's entry?? Do you happen to know Jane's parent's? as I feel she is a relation to our Betty: Somerset: Bruton - Parish Registers, 1681-1812 - Marriages, 1746 to 1812.

31 Jan 1761 William Peddle, of Yeovil, & Betty Loaden, soj., by lic married. I've not been able to find anymore on these my earliest Ancestors. Anywhere in Somerset or Dorset. In my research for the Penny family in Bruton, I discovered that a George Prince Amor and his wife Eliza, were witnesses at the marriage of my great great grandparents, William Penny born 1800 in North Cadbury and Jane Amor born 1800 in Bruton. The name Amor was the middle name of my great grandfather John Amor Penny, and it seemed a common thing to do, to use a maiden name as part of a son's name. I've been looking for a 'Prince' family, since seeing the name of George 'Prince' Amor, thinking that Jane Amor's mother may have been a 'Prince'. I don't suppose this really helps in your search, but it may give a little more background to mine Brenda Miles
