Corrections to be made:

Hazel Clarke was not cranky or crotchety
She also was not a bootlegger
She used alcohol to help alleviate the pain due to lung problems.
She died from a coronary thrombosis after another lung operation and not from cancer.

Earl Frederick Pulfer remarried after the death of Hazel Clarke to provide a mother to the children left behind.

Earl Frederick Pulfer was not ugly and nasty as I personally lived with him as my father for 18 years. I saw him cry when his first wife died so I know that he did love her. I can confirm he was an acoholic.

Shirley Stocks, daugther of Earl & Hazel

I have a Henry Pulfer and Sarah Ann in my family line they married 24th Apr 1870.
Research says (not mine)that Henry was married three times Henry married second wife Mary Ann Brown 19th Feb 1866 and had two sons Frederick George Pulfer born 1868 (App)Shoreditch, London and John Prim Pulfer born 15 Oct 1868 this Frederick George married Rachel Adelaide Bouskill.
Henry lived to 1914 his Father 1892 which don’t fit your history.
The 1871 census shows a Frederick G Pulfer son aged 3 living with Henry and third wife Sarah Ann he is missing from the 1881 census when he was 13.
