Sorry to say that I have no further details. This was in fact just a story passed down through the family. However, it was surprising that Mary had heard the same story. Keep in touch. Gale

Three of the Homier kids are mine. That would be Michael, Holly and George. Nathaniel is their first cousin. As for the children born in San Diego, there may be a connection to Mary's family, but I don't know for sure. Feel free to add my kids to your family tree. Any other new bits of information?

Didn't think to ask Mary, but Luanne doesn't know who the Hamels or Rizzos are. As to other new info- get bits & pieces which I will post seperately.

Just wanted to share what information I have about this family branch. This Treffle is the son of Gedeon (Charles) Homier and he married Rose Fink. They are not to be confused with Treffle and Rose Delima Homier who would be the grandparents of this Treffle. Thanks for posting the information.

Good morning all Homier's.
This Trefflé (son of Gedeon Homier and Marie Laferiere) was born, October 16 1885 and was baptized Elie Trefflé Homier in St-François-de-Sales of Pointe-Gatineau on the 27th of October 1885 (age 11 days). His godparents were Trefflé Homier and Rose Lésima Lafontaine.
Gedeon and Marie Laferiere had at least one other son born July 4, 1887 and baptized Charles July 31, 1887 (age 27 days) at the same church. His godparents were Léon Lafontaine (uncle) and Elmire Homier (aunt).
Have a great day,

Hi Jill, Thanks for the info. It is always good to have another source. Just returned from Montana and gathered a little more info about Treffle and Eli Homier. We were finally able to locate the grave sites of Eli Homier and a baby born to him and wife Anna. We knew which cemetery, just no location. Will place markers in the spring. Have ordered film from LDS about our branch of the family in Gatineau, Quebec from the church. Hope to discover new things! Will let you know.

Thank you for the addtional information. We are related through Gedeon's brother, David Elie Homier. He was called Eli and was my husbands grandfather. Gedeon and his wife went to Michigan in the early 1900's and then on to Montana, Oregon, and later California. There were more children born to Gedeon and his wife in Michigan. I truly appeciate everyones efforts to track this family and help each other with new information. Again, "Thank You".
