Looking for information on the ancestors of Mary Stoudenmire married Albert Williams McNeel. Believe her father to be William J. Stoudenmire and mother Fadra "?". Is William the son of George from South Carolina? Appreciate any help.

William James Stoudenmire (b. in Orangeburgh District SC) was christened on 3 January 1802. He was the son of John George Stoudenmire (12 Jul 1771 - 6 Aug 1842) and Mary Magdalene Whetstone (2 Feb 1775 - 24 Jun 1851). I have quite a bit on their descendants (though nothing on your Mary). I created a web site from the information (descendants of Martin Stoudenmire) and the address is - this covers about 5 or 6 generations.

Hi! A cousin of mine says that William James Stoudenmire's wife was Fadra Ann Keener. They lived in the Autaugaville area. I don't have burial places or dates, but there were at least eight children born to them. William James was one of the sons of John George Stoudenmire. I am descended from Margaret.

Sorry to piggyback on this post, but I noticed you mentioned McCreight as one of your surnames. Were they also in AL? My gg grandfather, Thomas Pearson Mccreight was born in AL, probably Tuscaloosa. His parents were William and Elmina, and he had several siblings also born in AL: Jane, Robert J., Margaret F. Samuel T. Emily M., and Eliza. Does any of this sound familiar?

I seek documentation on the Whetstone parentage of Mary Magdalene Stoudenmire, wife fo JOhn George Stoudenmire. . I conclude that she was dau of Rev JOhn Whetstone and E. Horger. Have some documentation but would like more such as Bible record, etc. There is a contingent who place her as dau of Adam Whetstone.

I realize this post is rather old but I have the pictures and GPS coordinates for grave stones for John George and Magdalene Stoudenmire and William J and Fadra Stoudenmire. I am going to try and attach them to this post. If that fails GPS on John George and Magdalene is 32.397026, -86.684578 and William J and Fadra is 32.384207, -86.682673. My email is
