I am looking for descendents of Thekla Meagher Brumby and Wm McDuffie Brumby through their daughter Anna Brumby. We have some fabulous family records and photos that we want to share with you. We are the descendents of Dr. Brumby and his second wife.

Hello,
My mother-in-law is the great granddaughter of Rebecca Kincaid Gibbes and George McDuffie Brumby. I will talk with her about Thelka and William and see what she knows. Also, the pictue you posted of the 5 young men, is the one on the lower left George McDuffy Brumby? And, do you know the approximate age of the great picture you posted of Rebecca Kincaid Gibbes as a young woman? We have the one when she was older.

What great pictures, I'm so grateful you posted them of this interesting family.
Regards,
Judy West Palmer

I saw your 2008 post sooooo this may be too old or too late. I am interested in Dr. Lawrence L. Brumby who married Lucinda or Lusina or Lucina Church in 1863, was born 05May1822 in Canton, Wilcox Co., AL and died 14May 1881 in New Orleans, LA. The Brumby line is my interest - Thomas Mason Brumby, Thomas Brumby, Thomas Lyal Brumby. Dr. Lawrence L. Brumby was my gr. gr. grandfather. Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you for your response. I am very new to this experience but loving it. Thomas Brumby, 1764, is my gr. gr.gr.gr. grandfather. Now I am not sure where Thekla M. Brumby and Anna Brumby fit. However, for now I am only locating names of parents. Later I hope to go back and add children.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Thomas Brumby, 1764, is my gr.gr.gr.gr. grandfather. My grandmother's (Mary Alberta Caston), mother was Mary Lucina Brumby. All of this geneaology searching is new to me, but I am loving it. Just not enough time in the day. To answer your question, I have not gone any further back on Thomas Brumby other than his coming from England. Thanks for your info. I am working with some cousins over in Texas. You may use my addy mamacgewin@yahoo.com. I live in Louisiana. I am much too wordy! I am not familiar with Thekla M. Brumby and Anna Brumby. For now I am only adding names of parents. Hopefully, I will go back and flesh out the family tree with children.
