While researching the book Castleberry and Allied Families, put together by Jesse Wendell Castleberry in 1967, I came across a Washington D.C. address for the Clan Castleberry of America. Apparently they have moved or no longer function, since my letter came back. Does anyone have any information on this organization?

Our line is through Jeremiah, Simeon(who married Amanda Mills Long) Daniel, Ernest Castleberry. Will share information ---have the book by Jesse Castleberry written in 1967. We are on page 114 and 116. Some mistakes are in there. Ernest's family was born near Decatur, Texas at Allison. He came by ox cart to Texas with Castleberry kinfolks but I don't know which ones-possibly the ones who settled in Wiemar County??????

Greetings to whom ever posted this note. I've gone through the Castleberry book but couldn't find any link to our particular Castleberry family. I copied parts of the library loaned book for future reference only. And the names you listed are unfamiliar. However, in the book, there was a Washington DC address to an organization called the "Castleberry Clan of America". I wrote to them, but the letter was returned. If the organization still exists, I would like to make contact. I also received another mesage board message from Martha Castleberry Freeman, who also is listed on pages 114-116. Check her note on the recent messages for May 27, 2000. Monte

Have wanted to verify this ladies father for a long long time. She, too, came from Ga but not sure where. Married in Ala in 1849 to Fredis Aldridge Ellis. Family thinks father is Allen Castleberry but I think that may be her brother. Father could be Edward Castleberry or a brother of his since she named a child Edwin and one Allen. Edward had a son who died young named Edwin.

Any proof of parentage would be appreciated.

I have a copy of this book. There are many errors but a good source to start. The Gamp Tree was also published at the same time and I have several issues of those.

My line doesn't connect for sure. I suspect Edward Castleberry or Allen as the father of my Sarah Trammel Castleberry Ellis but can't prove it.

Any information appreciated.
