Looking for info on John Orr (born about 1843) and wife
Christina Paxton (also born about 1843). Married St Andrews Scots Church, apprently formerly The Scots Church, Valletta Malta. John and Christina married 18 March 1872. withnesses to marriage: Davina Wishart and William Paxton.

John was possibly Lance Sgt in 74th Highlanders.

If these are correct parents, they had following children (known at this time--there may be more):

Mary Baillie Orr b 8 June 1873--possibly died young

Thomas b 3 June 1877 (born Straits Settlement, Singapore/Malaysia), married?

Unnamed son, possiby born Hong Kong

Robert b 18 Feb 1885 Glasgow Scotland, possibly emigrated to California. Married?

William P. b 12 Oct 1879, born Singapore or India
Married Ann Stewart, daughter of James (Jem) Stewart and Sarah McLay of Glasgow. William and Ann emigrated to USA, settled in Ohio. Two children: John Orr born 1909, Annette/Anita born 1913-1914.

Interested in tracking down any or the above people.I have trying to locate this entire family for a long time. Any help greatly appreciated.

also baptisms MARY BAILLIE ORR 1873 and AGNES SCOTT ORR 1875 both recorded as 74th Regiment.

also death MARY ORR 1873/1874

74Th Highland regiment embarked 2nd December for the Straits Settlement aboard the ORONTES. They had arrived from Gibraltar in Feb and March 1872 aboard the JUMNA

I am a direct descendant of George Paxton b 1842 - 1926 the brother of Christina Paxton b 1846 who married John Orr on 18th March 1872.

You may have answer for me on William and Ann Orr's daughter Anita/Annette, born Scotland, probably deceased in America. Lost track of her years ago.
