I have just stumbled onto this web site and find it interesting all the info stored here. I am from upstate NY and so were most of my relatives as far back as I can remember. My parents are both gone and I have found relatives listed here that I never knew existed. Do you have any interesting information on this family name that you have discovered? I would be interested in it.
Thanks and hope you find the fame you are looking for!

Sincerly,
Jennie Lin Hadley

Dear Jennie and Jill,
I am from New York State also. My mother was Mildred L. Hadley and her father was Kernan J. Hadley, son of William. They all lived in town of Litchfield, Herkimer County, NYS. My daughter I have been trying to do research on the family but find limited resources. Happy to find this website. Do you think we are related?

I know of some descdndants of Benj. Hadley(b. 1684 in MA) who were in upstate NY in the early 19th Century. Jesse, Ebenezer, John, Jacob. Do any connect with your line. If so this would open up whole new collateral lines.

I'd be very interested. I think it's likely these are descendants of Bnejamin H. Mehitabel Applin. If so, they are part of my family line. I have much info. on other parts of the line which went westward.

This Line goes back to George Hadley born 1599. There were several Benjamins in this line. Do you have other dates fro your Benjamin? I know that some of this fmily went westward but that is all I know I don't know to where or when. Please e-mail me at alfie12399@yahoo.com so we can write one another there.

I'm trying to trace back beyond Joseph Hadley Sr. of Nova Scotia (Guysborough County). He is believed to have gone to Canada from the New England states or possibly New York around 1750's-1760's. Do you know if he is related?
