Could anyone please tell me who was living at 49 St Swithuns Road Bournemouth in 1904 apart from my great aunty Elizabeth Barker and her husband Albert Foley. He was listed as a butler on their marriage certificate, she had no profession. I would like to know who they worked for and really, how they came to be there with both of them coming from North Yorkshire.

Hello Carol. according to the Burgess Roll for 1904-5 : George DEWEY is listed at 49 St. Swithun's Road. Bournemouth suburbs were expanding at the time with many new houses being built so there would have been a demand for dom. servants in the area. Best Wishes. Morten
