Here are a few memorials from Parish Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Chapeltown, Braes of Glenlivet (1829-1897). The R.C. Diocese of Aberdeen.

I would be very interested talking to anyone related to these families.

If you would like to see the original photographs that these were transcribed from, e-mail me.

Am in touch with at least one other researcher whose family is from Tomalianan and, as you can see from my name<g>I may be related to you on two lines. Drop me a line & we'll compare notes.

Hello Stuart, It's been awhile since we last spoke. To refresh you memory, my great, great-grand parents were William Stuart and Elspet Kellas, great-grand parents were William Stuart and Sarah Anne Miller, grand father being Charles Stuart moved to Canada, then to the US. Tomalienan, Refriesh, Grouse Inn (Cabrach), Ardwell and Hillock of echt (Cabrach) are some of the placenames. Do you know of a Katy Rattray? She would have been born in the later part of the 1800's. Looking forward to hearing from you. Here's my e-mail: tininver@hotmail.com Kind regards, Pamela

Still don't see a connection.
Might I suggest you try <http://www.clicktrees.com/>;.
The site is in its early stages but the goal is to have a reference for people of 'The Braes'.
Even if theres nothing there YET, check back in a few months.

According to some family records, there is a Katy Rattray, who was the grand daughter of the Stuarts living at the time in Cabrach. William Stuart lived at the Ardwell and Grouse Inn. He was my 2nd great grandfather. My 2nd great grandparents were William Stuart and Elspet Kellas. After Elspet died 1858, a few years later, William married Margaret or Mary McDonald. Would you have any records of this Katy Rattray?

I saw your message regarding Elspet Kellas - my paternal great-grandmother was one Mary Susan Kellas - possibly of Lawrencekirk area of Eastern Scotland. By any chance have you heard of this person - she would have lived generally about the same time as your great grandmother?
