I am seeking any descendants of Charles
Baverstock
born 1813 at Pulborough. He was a canal keeper for the
Wey
and Arun canal in the 19th century.
His father was also Charles as was one of his sons.
He married Mary Ann
Smart
.
Thanks.

I am descended from Charles' sister Esther, who married James
STANTON
, son of James snr, lock keeper at the other end of the canal (
Bramley
in
Surrey
). I have a great deal of information on the
BAVERSTOCK
family, and of the two families association with the canal. See my web site for more details
