Surnames: Baverstock,Smart.
I am seeking any descendants of Charles Baverstock born 1813 at Pulborough.He was a canal keeper for the Wey and Arun canal in the 19th century.
His father was also Charles as was one of his sons.
He married Mary Ann Smart.

Surnames: BAVERSTOCK STANTON
I am descended from Charles' sister Esther, who married James STANTON, son of James snr, lock keeper at the other end of the canal (Bramley in Surrey). I have a great deal of information on the BAVERSTOCK family, and of the two families association with the canal. See my web site for more details www.tnstanton.co.uk .
