I have a database on the Thomas Gerard, physician. I will be happy to share what I have with anyone interested in this family. This database includes Gerard's children and their families. Since I am a Cheseldine researcher I have reams about Gerard/Cheseldine connections.Contact me at my email address.
I's searching Coad line, St. Mary's Co. I have a Susannah Gerard who married into the Coad family, possibly to John Coad late 1600's. Her father was Thomas Gerard, mother Susannah Snow. Any info on the Gerard and Coad connection?
Ed. My Susanna Gerard m Robert Slye. I have her parents as Thomas Gerard and Susanna Snow. Could she have married twice?
Susannah Gerard and John Coode
Dr. Thomas Gerard and his wife, Susannah Snowe, had eleven children. He came to St. Mary's County in 1637. His daughter, Susannah, married first Robert Slye and second, John Coode. Could this be another spelling of Coad? John Coode was instrumental in the Maryland protestant rebellion of the 1600's, sometimes called Ingel's Rebellion.
I am a descendant of Susannah's sister, Mary, who married Kenelm Cheseldine. Mary inherited White's Neck and Mattapany from her father.
I have additional information on the Gerard and Cheseldine families, including the six generations of the Gerard family before Dr. Thomas Gerard.
2nd wife of Thoms Gerard, Rose ?
I received this information from someone else interested in the Gerard family of St. Mary's County, Maryland. I hope it is helpful.

Notes for SUSANNAH SNOW:
Susanna SNOW GERRARD, second(?) spouse of Thomas GERRARD, emigrated to St.
Mary's County, MD. She resided at St. Clement's Manor. It was there that
Thomas GERRARD built a chapel. He apparently allowed interdenominational
worship, [ Susanna and the children were non Catholic, Thomas was
Catholic ], however, the local Roman Catholic priest said that the
arrangement was not allowed. He [ the priest ] apparently said he would
come and live among them to see that the Catholic religion was practiced.
Susanna is buried at at Longworth's Point, directly over looking [ in St.
Clement's Manor ] the cite where the Ark and the Dove first landed in
Maryland. Thomas, her widower, went to Virginia, married a Rose (probably
STURMAN), widow of John TUCKER, and had ssue. However, Thomas when near
death, requested to be returned to Maryland and be buried next to his

Notes for ROSANNA STURMAN:
See theory for Rosanna's surname in the TUCKER notes, p. 35 Name of book ???
ask Jan CREEK! Chapter title: "John TUCKER of Westmoreland." "... no proof
has been located to establish the maiden name of Rose who married John
Tucker, but some facts suggest her identity. The March, 1708 Westmoreland
Co. Ct. ordered John WHEELER to pay 400 pounds to Rosanna GERARD, proving
that Rose's name was Rosanna, there is but one Rosanna among the
Westmoreland families closely associated with Westmoreland Tuckers. That
was Rosanna STURMAN, whose family came from Maryland to Northumberland to
Westmoreland Co. And Rose and John gave power of attorney in
Northumberland Co, 7 Aug 1667, to James CLAUGHTON. Therefore, this writer
hypothesizes that Rose Tucker Gerard Newton was Rosanna STURMAN, daughter of
Thomas and Ann (PORTER) STURMAN. Ann STURMAN'S 1654 will named daughter
Rosanna, then in England. No last name appears in the will, so whether
Rosanna were...[my copy stopped here. This book was in the library in Allen
