I am looking for confirmation. My husband's great great grandfather was Richmond Nisbet (13 Apr 1857--I believe) who married Janet Blair (~1855).

I believe that Richmond's parents were Matthew Nisbet (~1832) and Isabella Muir--married 9 Dec 1854.

I also believe that Richmond's grandparents were Archibald Nisbet and Elise(a)beth Craig.

Does any of this ring a bell. I have other infromation about Matthew's and Richmond's siblings, if this would help.

My 4th Greatgrandmother, Janet Nisbit born in 1803 was the daughter of Archibald Nesbit & Elizzabeth Craig. She married Peter Connel (o'Connel) In 1818.

I would love to learn anything you have discovered about the family. My great-greatgrandmother Janet Nesbit Connel emigrated to the USA in 1873.

Thank You!
