We have a John George Burkin, born 1855 in Bahlingen, Baden, Germany. He would have been the only member of his immediate family to come to this country in about 1880, though he would have cousins under the known surnames of BECKER, RAINERT, HELM, ROTHS, SHORT, WARD, and possibly others. He lived in Quincy, Illinois and after marriage to Anna ETTE moved to Kansas City, Kansas. Would like to correspond with other descendants.

Actually I'm from Bahlingen, originally though, now I live in Berlin / Germany.

The names you're searching for and I know from Bahlingen are: Bürkin, Diehr, Rieß and Breisacher.

Go search my database and tell me if you have a match:

This is the only incidence of anyone I can find studying the Rainert surname. I am attempting to figure out the parentage of Frances Rainert and Irene Rainert of Berks Co., Pennsylvania. Had mother named "Cea" it looks like. Don't know father's name. Cea remarried to James Rolandus Turner abt 1904-1905, and children were James, John and Philip Turner.
