I first posted in Feb. 2001 looking for Sam Rundle, my ggf, who lived in Iron Mountain, Michigan in the late 1800's and was a miner there. He came from somewhere in Cornwall and seemed to avoid all the census takers. His wife was Sophie Beard and ther had at least one son, my gf. She later married a William Beard in Iron Mountain and has several more children. That is about all I know of him. He was listed in the 1902 city directory. Any ideas, tips or other help would be appreciated.

Bruce I've located a Charles Arthur RUNDLE birth registered June 1886 at Truro ref 5c 165. Also a marriage at Redruth between Samuel Arthur RUNDLE and Sophia Jane BEARD ref 5c 347 Sept 1885. Could these events be connected with your enquiry

Mr. Rundle,
Thank you for the info. This is the closest I've come to any "real" names and/or dates for Sam and Sophie. One thing that doesn't match is the month for Charles Arthur's birth. I have him being born in March of 1886, at Truro, but that could be a mistake also, altho it is on the copy of the birth registration. Where did you get this info? It does seem to fit. Thanks again.
