I do know that there was a famous New York politician in the mid-1800's named Roscoe Conklin. He was descended from the original Long Island Conklins I mentioned. So you and I are probably very distant cousins. As I mentioned to another inquirer, the Conklins had big families, and hundreds of descendants, so it is virtually impossible for one person to track ALL the lineages. The Conklins in my family moved to the mid-west in the 1800's, and distanced themselves from their New York relatives.

There is a Roscoe Conklin on my tree, son of my gf, Matthew Livingston Conklin & his 1st wife, Julia Hetzel. He would have been born abt. 1889-1900 in NJ.
