Jesse or Joseph Gray and Nancy Rainbolt it seems must be parents of my Nancy Gray who married a Rainbolt and had 12 children who lived to adulthood I believe. My grandfather knew a great uncle George Gray who was his Nancy Gray's brother. At least the birth date of 1812 for my Nancy Gray fits. My grandfather b 1894 remembers going to George Gray's funeral (supposedly this George Gray was 100+ when he died). Among the children of Nancy Gray and her husband Jesse? Nancy Gray 1812 ?parents, siblings?

I am definitely a descendant of Nancy Gray who married Joseph Rainbolt and raised 12 children to adulthood. I have yet to be convinced by anyone of who Nancy Gray's parents and siblings are however. My grandfather born 1894 went to funeral of George Gray, brother of Nancy Gray in ~1910. This George Gray was born ~ 1807 and, yes, this George Gray was 103 years old when he died ~1910. Nobody is giving the right marriage dates and children listings to match this.

What was your 1894 Grandfather's name, parents & etc? And, can you give more info on George Gray? Thanks, Toni Maize

whoever jesse and Hanna Barnes, his second wife, married 1837. Had A son Jocob born 8 july 1838 and died 21 jun
1908 in Iowa.

The Right marriage Dates :

1. Nancy Rainbolt -8 july 1810 . She died in 1835 while
giving child birth !! . this my be the missing George
gray. For I have no Child listed as being born in 1835.

I am 3rd GrGrandchild of Margaret Jane Gray Mays/Maize child to Jesse & Nancy Rainbolt Gray. I have documentation on Margaret Jane thanks to her husbands civil war pension papers where she had to prove marriage and etc., also have copy of MJ's marriage bond & lic where Jesse's name appears. Okay, so I forwarded your quiry that came to me to Gray Cuz who along with myself looked into our Gray files and found no George anywhere. We're wondering if George may have been a nick name?
