I'm researching Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire branch of the family but I came accross Arthur Berrington, Gorsedale. 13 Meadow Park, Spurston, Tarporley, Cheshire, which is only about 5 miles from Frodsham. My only contact with him was July 1996. Good Luck

Hello Brian
Thanks for the replyto the message board request. It appears that my Berrington's started to live in Kegwoth Leicestershire around the early 1700's. Jennings Berrington married there and his son William (my direct line) married Catherine Twells in 1772. His son William (2) married Elizabeth Woolley in 1800 and their son William (3)married Mary Stevenson23 Jun 1829. Then they moved to Loughborough to have all their children of which my grandfather Frederick Alexander was one. Thanks Alec Berrington

Your, and my tree starts with Thomas B born in Hathern in 1587. I now have a direct line from him to my grandson, also Thomas, born 2000. The Jennings you mention was baptised 25/3/1676 and his brother, John baptised 30/5/1680 was my direct ancester. There is far to much detail to e mail but the whole family has hardly moved at all in 400 years. The villages wher they lived are, Sheepshed (Shepshed), Hathern, Long Watton, which are all close to each other and Kegworth. If you will let me have your address, I would be glad to sent you a copy. I would also be interested in what ever datails you may have. As a matter of interest, Jennings father was also called Jennings, he married Elizabeth Sutton from Hathern about 1643

Cheers, your (rather distant) cousin, Brian

My great-grandmother was Mary Ann Berrington. She married Marshall Kerry. Their daughter, my great-aunt, was born Elizabeth Annie May Kerry (we called her May) in Nottingham 1-11-1896. Much of the family lives in Leicester. My grandmother's name was Harriet Eveline Kerry. She married Henry Oliver Jones - all from Leicester. They had a brother Marshall who lived in Reading, Pa. and another brother William (Willie) who lived in California. They came to America around 1900.

Cheryl

Thank you for your information. However I don't
think our Mary Ann are not the one and same
person. Mary Ann and Joseph were married in
Cleveland 1858. They had the one child..Charles
Albert and she died about 1862. I have no info
on her other than what I have revealed. Thanks.
Peg
