I have a McCafferty family tree, with a Neil McCaffert at the start of it. He was born in 1695 Ireland, and his son John was born in 1724 in a town called Sweet Avon, Scotland.

I also have a Neil McCafferty although I'm not sure where he originated. He and his family came to USA about 1815 - family history says he came over from Ireland but not sure if that was home or port shipped out from. Wife Mary, children (that I know of)Katherine, James, Mary & Ellen. They ended up in Clark County, Ohio. Would love to find a connection somewhere!
