Spencer Churchill Pedigree

Where are you looking for information?

I did a quick check of the Mormon Family Search Service and the 5th duke is there with all his family. However, there was no Phoebe. He and Susan Steward appear to have had only one daughter Caroline Susan. Of course she may be Phoebe.

Have you tried the census? I would imagine it would also list the families.

FIFTH DUKE

AS FAR AS I KNOW IT IS WILLIAM GREATSINGER, THEY HAD A CHILD A SUSAN GREATSINGER, WHO MARRIED A SILAS CATLIN,RELATED TO THE FAMOUS INDIAN PAINTER GEORGE CATLIN. WHY DOYOU THINK IT IS THAT I AM HAVING SUCH PROBLEMS LOCATING ANY THING SAYING HOW MANY CHIDREN WERE OFFSPRING OF THE FIFTH DUKE OF MARLBOROUGH LITTLE LESS THE NAMES OF THE CHILDREN.YOU WOULD THINK THAT THAT BEING SUCH A HISTORIC LINE AND EXPECIALLY SINCE PRINCESS DI WAS OF THAT GENE POOL YOU WOULD THINK THAT THERE WOULD BE A HOLE LOT MORE INFORMATION ON THE MARLBOROUGHS. iT'S A BIG MYSTORY TO ME THE HARDER I WORK ON THIS AND FIND NOTHING THE MORE OBSESSED I GET...

Which website were you on with the mormans? I've been on one all night and never once found a caroline susan, however I did find the children and the only listed female was a clementina. That is strange isn't it there was an alan and george of course,I downloaded the gedcom I can't rememember the other childs name. I must be looking in all the wrong places....

Well I just found a morman web site yesterday you are a good detective. What census is it that you speak of, could you send me a link if possible? I did find the daghter of phoege and william on the morman web site, but all it had was a marrige record of her and silas catlin in new york in 1844, but that gives me a better time frame to go by seeing as how the sixth duke her brother was born in 1793 that puts me between about 1810 and 1830 for a marrige and or a imigration record thanks for your help

Corliss family of Devon

I descend from the family of Corliss who were land owners in Devon but were expelled from England to the West of Ireland for refusing to give up their Roman Catholic faith. Does anyone know anything about this Devonshire family and where they may have lived?

It is best known for its Royal Air Force Base.
Good luck with your research!

I am from the Crocker descent and can only trace back as far as my ggggrandfather from Franklin Co. Georgia Lemulle Crocker. We believe maybe his father was John Crocker. I would love any info on the Crocker seal ,etc.. that you may have. thank you. sundialsh@aol.com

I have an Ellen Corliss that lived and died in Kiltimagh, County Mayo, IRE about 1858-60 to after 1935. She was reported to have Spanish or Moorish ancestry. I have never found any other Corliss families in Mayo. She married Thomas McNicholas before 1879 and had 8 children and they were definitely Roman Catholic.
