David: You are so right. It was my mother that told me that she thought her grandmother's name was Daisley. I just didn't know which grandmother. I am still digesting this great info. It is very important to me. I am 75, a grandmother & great-grandmother & wanted to find out as much as I could, not only for myself, but for my family. Thank you so much again. Marilyn

How nice to hear from you: I have gathered a lot of info on the Ibbott family, but look forward to seeing what you have & compare it. I have been looking for my English ancestors, the Lowings, the Daisleys & Swindells. Have had quite a bit of success, but can always add to it.Does this mean we are distantly related? How nice! Thanks again, Marilyn

Hi Keith: ifound the Daisleys when looking for my grandfather Herbert Lowings from Gamlingay,He married Polly Hutchison fom Bedsford. Her Father was George Hutchison, & her mother was Fanny Daisley. My grandfather's parents were Thomas Lowings & Mary Ibbott,I show Mary's patrents were James Ibbott & Mary Emery. James parents were John Ibbott & Mary Beard. Mary's parents were William Emery & Dinah Wells. Now have I got wrong info or different families? They were all from Gamlingay. My grandparents came to Canada in1909 o2 early 1910, as my mother was born here in 1910. Grandpa Lowins brother Albert married Elizabeth Esther Daisley, so 2 brothere married 2 sisters & all came to Canada along with 3 more brothers, Joseph, Horace & Walter.I also show Ibbott's traced from Thomas b.1706 Beds

Hi Keith: I'm so glad we've found each other. Yes this is the right family. How may I get a copy of the certificate? Do you live in the area? I just found out this winter where my grandparents came from. I got my grandfather's attestation papers for WW1. It gave his birthplace. Followed grandma (Hutchison) Lowings & have quite a bit on her family, siblings that I didn't know she had. I am so excited & grateful for any more info I may get. Thanks so much for your interest. Marilyn

good evening Keith: Thanks again for your prompt reply. It is so gratifying to get this info & to realize that I and my family have relatives in England. You can e-mail me at marilyn2209@hotmail.com. I will check out the camdex. We live in Norwich, Ontario, named after Norwich England. Almost all the settlers in this area were from England. Some of our ancestors arrived from Duchess County New York. My husband's family in 1811, & mine in 1818.Of course, my grandparents came here in 1909. Haven't been able to find out what ship or departure or landing. Maybe someday I'll find it, but I'm so pleased with what I have. thanks again, Marilyn
