My great great grandfather was James J. Liles who was born in Newberry district SC in 1809 and moved to Twiggs county, GA around 1830. I have not been able to confirm his parents. I have seen Akillis Liles and Ephraim Liles/Lyles (Little Eph b. 1762 in SC, d. 1854 in GA) listed in family trees on the internet as his father. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
