Thanks for all the info. I sent for a death cert. for Augusta Schmidt from the NYC archives. I found out her and Gustave were buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Queens. I went to the Cedar Grove website and they have a search tool for persons buried there. I found my mothers aunt & uncle in the Schmidt family plot. Mystery solved. I also found a few of their kids in the plot who died young which would explain why I could not find them in later years. I had to do some reverse searching with your help to get to the answer.Thank you again. I can now start on another elusive aunt & uncle. My mothers father had 10 brothers & sisters. I have now accounted for 6 of them.
