...It is actually a completely diferent Lyneham that the Crockers are connected with... Lyneham a few miles east of Plymouth, Devon. It is hard to find on anything but a large scale map!!
It is often merged with Yealmpton or Holberton in the Gazetters. There is a manor house built about 1696 , and Sir John Crocker's tomb , plus many Crocker Graves are in the church yard at Yealmpton.

I have always been told that my SPENCER ancestors were related to Sir Winston Churchill. the attachment is a family tree given to me. How correct it is, I cannot say.
All info on Aubrey George SPENCER from the time of his marriage is from my genealogy books.
My SPENCER ancestors came from the Turks Island.
Please acknowledge receipt of this message. Thanks.

My Crocker family started out with John Crocker and his wife, Penny Babb, whose son, Joseph Henderson Crocker moved to Tennessee and established the town of Orlinda in Robertson County located near the KY border.

Most of his decendants children moved into Simpson county shortly after the beginning of the 1900's.
Their other son, Henderson Clay Crocker [my direct decendant] remained in North Carolina.
If anyone has a tie to this line please respond back to me via e-mail at patrickliveshere@aol.com.

Hello

I have crockers on my family tree. John crocker and sarah ann porter, lived in corfe castle on a farm around the late 17th century, had about 13 children, one of which is called ellen crocker who went on to become a gover. it is believed that there was only one crocker family living in corfe castle at the time, so it looks like johns parents lived away. any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you. Also I am related to a mary churchill, from whom a rumor has passed down from generations that she was a distant relative of winston churchill, she married louis stickland in tyneham around the 1840s. I have no information on her parents as yet. Any information you would like to share would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Michael and all Crocker researchers in Devon England. Lyneham is or was the estate of the Crocker family in South Devon near Plymouth. It may also be a village in Wiltshire but that is the estate of the family and the place that one branch of the familly came from in the circa 1400's
