      <title>Convicts on the Justitia Hulk 1851</title>

Trial Ipswich Jan 1849, Sentenced Northampton Jan 1849.Transportation to Swan River Colony for 7 years.&lt;br&gt;Ticket of leave granted 14/10/1851. Condition pardon 6/8/1853&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;There I lose him. No death or marriage recorded in W.A.&lt;br&gt;His occupation was Seaman&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Any further info would be of great help.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>James May sentenced 9/11/1771, transported via JUSTITIA&lt;br&gt;to America. Searching for where passengers were discharge&lt;br&gt;and sold into indentured servitude. Know this ship in Annapolis late 1770, and early 1774 Leedstown, but cannot find it between these dates.  Any info appreciated.</description>

      <description>I am searching for information on who gggggrandfather, William McIntosh, who was also on the Justitia. He was Sentenced and Transported Sept 1766 from Lancashire via London for the US. Cpt. Colin Sommervell ref T1/450.&lt;br&gt;Interested to know if you have found the complete records that tell what "crime" individuals had committed.&lt;br&gt;That particular ship often docked in King George County, VA however, I have not proven that fact. Would be happy to share info. JM</description>

      <title>William McINTOSH transported on the ship "Justitia"</title>

      <description>William McIntosh in Sept 1766 was sentenced to be transported on the ship "Justitia" from Lancashire via London to America.&lt;br&gt;Records make it appear that he served in the Rev War and in 1794 in VA received an invalid pension. That pension followed him to NC, KY, TN, IN, IA, MO. Anyone have info on William or why William was shipped to America as a convict?</description>
