Looking for any information on ship named Justitia

A relative of mine - William Hale - is supposed to have been transported from England to New Hampshire on the Justitia. I am looking for any info I can get on this ship.

Anne HENLEY. The first two were supposedly transported to Virginia in 1744 on the Justitia. Anne may have come too...?

Does anyone know where I can get information about the convicts ie: why they were there and when the were released for 1851? My ancestor, Moses Annetts was sentenced to the Justitia Hulk but I can't find any records about it.

I am wondering if anyone can help me please i am after any death records and or burial records of Convicts aboard the Justitia in 1833
My GGGG and GGG grandfathers where both aboard one died the other sent on to Australia aboard the Jupiter

I am tracing Henry Wickham Convict No,. 735 , mentioned in Hulk Justitua return. dated 30/10/1849. Conviction Felony with previous. Trial Ipswich Jan 1849, Sentenced Northampton Jan 1849.Transportation to Swan River Colony for 7 years.
Ticket of leave granted 14/10/1851. Condition pardon 6/8/1853

There I lose him. No death or marriage recorded in W.A.
His occupation was Seaman

Any further info would be of great help.

JUSTITIA early 1772 James May

James May sentenced 9/11/1771, transported via JUSTITIA
to America. Searching for where passengers were discharge
and sold into indentured servitude. Know this ship in Annapolis late 1770, and early 1774 Leedstown, but cannot find it between these dates. Any info appreciated.

I am searching for information on who gggggrandfather, William McIntosh, who was also on the Justitia. He was Sentenced and Transported Sept 1766 from Lancashire via London for the US. Cpt. Colin Sommervell ref T1/450.
Interested to know if you have found the complete records that tell what "crime" individuals had committed.
That particular ship often docked in King George County, VA however, I have not proven that fact. Would be happy to share info. JM

I have just found out that i have 3 convict ancestors that went to the Justitia Hulks from Bedfordshire, John Summerfield, John Jackson, and John Fowler. If anybody can help me find any more information on these or any pssenger lists, where i can find them, pleae help.

William McINTOSH transported on the ship "Justitia"

William McIntosh in Sept 1766 was sentenced to be transported on the ship "Justitia" from Lancashire via London to America.
Records make it appear that he served in the Rev War and in 1794 in VA received an invalid pension. That pension followed him to NC, KY, TN, IN, IA, MO. Anyone have info on William or why William was shipped to America as a convict?

Jennifer, how did you obtain your list? Our family has an ancestor - Joseph Benjamin, convicted of petty thievery - who came to the colonies on the Justitia. I'd like to know who else came with him.

Does anyone know the port of arrival for the Justitia late of England in December 1769? My ancestor, Bartholomew Fenton was aboard, sentenced to "transportation" in September 1769. I would also like to find out what his crime was. Lana Tevis Griffin
