I just nailed down my husband's relationship to Jesse and Frank James a couple of weeks ago. He is a 5th great grandson of Drury Mims who was Shadrach Mim's brother.
I have a distant relationship through the Mims family as well but it is indirect. My great grandfather's brother Richard Insall married Caroline Mims whose father was William M. Mims. Caroline's family also traces back to Shadrach Mims.
