I am a direct decendent of the famous "Lady of the Night" and wish to find out more information about her. Please can anyone help? Mae West played out her story in a stage-play and then on the silver screen.

I have just come across a small amount of material regarding Diamond-Tooth Lil that belonged to my great-grandfather. As a young man, he cowpunched out West and met her at that time. In fact, during a bar-room brawl at her establishment, he had the tip of his little finger shot off.

The material includes published items about her as well as a letter from an associate of hers to my great-grandfather in the late 1940s, as well as a letter from my g-g back to that associate recalling Lil.

My sister took care of Lil in a nursing home in the 60's. She talked a lot to Lil and was told numerous stories by her about her life. Contact me and I will tell you some stories. She talked about her little brother a lot. She felt responsible for his death. He was about 2 or 3. He fell out a window 3 stories up while she was watching him
