Looking at the
Walton side of my small family tree and found some info from the 1880
Bolton,
Hinds,MS Census.
It includes William
Walton(30), wife-Arnette
Walton(25),son-Eddie(6), sson-Henry(10), other-Ella(6),
Caldwell(5), & Betsy(8mos). Seems Wm. is my ggr grandfather and little 6yr old Eddie will be my gr grandfather.
I also have an obituary for a
Gaddis Walton(1894-1962),youngest son of Bill & Ida
Walton, wife-Laura
Walton.
In a great aunt's obit there is mention of one uncle
Wren Walton and one aunt Lydia
Fields of Memphis TN, inferring a brother & sister of Rev Edward
Walton.
My grandfather's (Edward D
Walton Jr) parents are Rev.Edward D
Walton Sr and Beatrice
Walton. They had ten children. I believe everybody was born in
Bolton MS. Then they came to Chicago. I only knew of four-Granddaddy,
Uncle Ivory, Auntie Josie And Aunt Ida. It was my understanding that the others were already deceased before 1963. And as of 2002, these last four are now also deceased.
Josephine
Walton Rubin had two daughters, Geraldine and Doris Jean, both deceased. Ivory
Walton had two sons, Ivory Jr and Arthur, both deceased. Arthur had two sons, Darrell and
Lamonte Walton, who may be out there somewhere. And Edward
Walton Jr had three daughters, Yohauntas(deceased), Josephine "Jo"(deceased), and my mother, Jeanette, age 76.
