Thomas Combs (a free black) who died in 1844 or 1845 in Spotsylvania Co., Va married Aggie Lewis (a mulatto) who was born before 1803 or 1809 and was John Acors who was born about 1782 stated in 1852 "When Aggy was born, I was nearly grown." Aggie Lewis was, by depositions in 1852, identified as the daughter of Molly Lewis (a white, daughter of Joel Lewis) and slave. Aggy Lewis died Feb 1852.
Thomas Combs and Aggie Lewis had four children: George Combs, Martha Combs, Nancy Combs and Tuerman Combs.
