Im the direct descendant of Joseph Duell (My great great grandfather)and his wife Jane slater,they also had a daughter who was Alices Duell younger sister. Joesph Duell was born in 1829 in Eling and was a seaman. I have his marriage certificate,He was married in 1852 to Jane slater. I also have her death certificate as well. I think that Joesph deull died at sea,Ive been trying to find this out,but its not easy.
Emma duell married a Nathaniel Grace in 1881 and had 8 children,one of whom was my Grandmother Jane Grace. born 1889 in sunderland.she married a William Slater Thompson born 1871 in Lerwick. My father was born in 1915,married in 1946 and died in 2005. I was born in 1953 and married in 1981 .we do not have any children.
