I don't suppose this will help but I do remember some people by the name of Sterba that used to visit in the home of my grandparents, John and Mary Toman, on the farm near Plattmouth, which is south of Omaha. These Sterba's lived in Omaha and all I can remember is her name was Kate and she loved to dance. Seemed like her husband was Joe Sterba but am not sure. Kate said she hoped to die dancing and she died on the dance floor. I am sorry I can't be more specific, but it may hold a clue to help. This was in the 1930's and early 1940's. They were good friends of my grandparents and they always enjoyed the visits when the Sterbas came. Hope this can be of some small help.
