Fredriksson in Nebraska--late 1800's

Hi, I am writing for a friend who has "lost" contact with her great grandfather (++) Erik August Fredriksson. He was born in 1852 (abt) in langtora, Parisa, Sweden (I think I have the names right. She knows only that he was a carpenter and did furniture and lived at some point in Nebraska. Is there anyone "out there" who may have any idea who this might be, or have some contact with any family members of this man? it would be so appreciated to hear from you. Thank you.

I am looking for information on Carl Adrian Lambert Swahn or Edith Charlotte Christine Kraft(Swahn)....They immigrated from somewhere in Sweden between 1900-1920 and ended up in Omaha, NE. Any info would help. Thanks.

Hi I am searching for any info on my g-grandmother, she was Justina Lindberg born may,1875 in Sweden, she came to the US in 1886, married Frank W. McArthur in Idaho in 1896 she was living in Kimball Nebraska at that time.They moved to Colorado Springs Colorado, after marriage. She had a sister, Martha born Dec 1876, that lived with them in 1900 any info would be greatly appreciated

Robert A. RATHMAN, 42, Beatrice, died Friday afternoon, Nov. 22, 2002, at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairbury from injuries sustained in a work place accident in Fairbury. He was born Nov. 10, 1960, in Racine, Wis., and served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1977-1979. Preceded in death by his father, Ewald Rathman. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel, Beatrice, the Rev. Dan Osborn officiating. Burial: Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. There will be no public viewing. A register book will be available at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of service. Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel, Beatrice.

Naomi Rasmussen, 89, of Hartington died Monday, May 26, 2003. Services were May 28 at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hartington, with the Rev. Terry Buol officiating. Burial will be in Obert Cemetery, Obert, Neb. Mrs. Rasmussen was born Dec. 22, 1913, in Obert, the daughter of Chris and Anna (Matsen) Nielsen. She married Ransom Abraham Rasmussen on Oct. 8, 1938, in Obert. He died Oct. 7, 1996, at the age of 84. She taught elementary school for many years in Obert, Newcastle and St. Helena, Neb., while the couple lived on a farm south of Obert. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two infant children; four brothers, Walt, Nels, Louis and Reuben Nielsen; and a sister, Carrie Petersen.

CENTRAL CITY -- Hilda I. FLODMAN, 92, of Central City, formerly of Hordville, died Friday, March 28, 2003, in Aurora. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fridhem Lutheran Church in Hordville. Sister Mary Arie will officiate. Burial will be in the Hordville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Solt Funeral Home in Central City. Mrs. Flodman was born July 16, 1910, in Hamilton County to Thure L. and Ida C. (Isaacson) Ortegren. On June 24, 1931, Hilda I. Ortegren and Ralph V. Flodman were united in marriage at the Mamre Evangelical Church near Marquette. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Lance Rutherford; four brothers, Iver and Martin Ortegren and two infant brothers; and four sisters, Clara Carlson, Jennie Anderson, Lula Erickson and her twin sister, Helen Nelson.

WAHOO – William Wayne Nordstrom, 73, of Wahoo, died Saturday, March 22 at his home. Nordstrom was born Nov. 19, 1929, to Grant Arthur and Era Amanda (Robinson) Nordstrom in Swedeburg. On July 31, 1948, he was married to Iva MaeBelle Dugger in Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 26, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home in Wahoo. Services will be held Thursday, March 27 at 2 p.m. at the Swedeburg Covenant Church with Rev. Richard Olson and Rev. Ervin Stanke officiating. Burial will be at Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo. Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home of Wahoo is in charge of the arrangements.
